The Honey Island Shooting Range is located in the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area at Exit 5B on I-59 near Pearl River, Louisiana. Please see the MAP.

  • Rifle Line:
    • 100 Yard Rifle Line.
    • You may shoot rifles, pistols (all rounds must hit the berm), shotguns (slugs only), but not full auto firearms on the rifle line.
    • Metal Plates at the 100 yard line (no armor piercing rounds).
    • Positions for target frames at 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards.

     

  • Pistol Line:
    • 25 yard pistol line.
    • You may shoot rifles, pistols, shotguns, and full auto at the pistol line.
    • Dueling tree and squirrels at various distances up to 25 yds for 22LR shooters.
    • Falling metal plate racks at 20 yards for conventional pistol calibers fired from conventional handguns.
    • Places for target frames and targets up to 25 yards.

     

  • Sporting Clays:
    • 3 sets of electronic sporting clays throwers.
    • 1 electronic rabbit thrower.

     

  • Archery Range:
    • Archery range access included in gate fee.
    • Target ranges of up to 40 yards.
    • Only field tipped arrows may be used.
  • Under 16 Free with an Adult.
  • Non-Shooters Free.
  • Gate Fee — 16 and over $6.00 Per Day. Exact change is always appreciated, especially when we first open.
  • Sporting Clay Shooters $4.00 per 25 rounds of birdshot (in addition to the Gate Fee).
  • Annual Pass $60 for individuals $75 for families. Annual Pass Application can be downloaded HERE.
  • We do not rent firearms or sell ammunition.
  • We regret that we are unable to accept credit or debit cards.
  • Eye Protection (We also have loaners).
  • Ear Protection (We also can provide foam ear plugs).
  • Targets (We also sell targets).
  • The range provides target frames and staplers to staple your targets.
  • For persons between 16 and 59 years of age a Louisiana hunting license, a Louisiana fishing license, or Wild Louisiana Stamp are required to enter the Wildlife Management Area (WMA).
  • For Louisiana residents the Hook and Line (cane pole) license is the least expensive option.
  • For NON Louisiana residents the Wild Louisiana Stamp is the least expensive option.
  • Licenses can be purchased at places such as Walmart or Academy. They can also be purchased online HERE.
  • Filling out a Self Clearing Permit at the entrance to the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area is NO LONGER required if you are ONLY going to the Honey Island Shooting Range. The range will give you a ticket that is equivalent to the Self Clearing Permit for using the range.
